Lonnie Swenson, MS, LAT, CSCS, PES, YFS

Lonnie Swenson founded 3D Sport Performance, LLC in 2004 after seeing a need for a more multi-faceted approach to individual fitness.  His vision was to be able to offer specialized training to clients regardless of age, ability, prior injuries or physical limitations. 3D Sport Performance encompasses Lonnie's extensive background in athletic training, personal training and athlete development accommodating every degree of fitness and performance levels. 

Lonnie has been practicing professionally since 1996 when he earned his Master's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wyoming. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Corporate Fitness from Minot State University. Lonnie is a certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a Certified Youth Fitness Specialist through the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA), a Level 1 Certified Speed, Agility and Conditioning Coach and a TRX Instructor.

Lonnie was a NCAA Division I head athletic trainer for the men's basketball program at the University of Wyoming for 5 years. During this time he was responsible for injury prevention, management, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes. He also was the assistant athletic trainer for the football team for 4 years and head athletic trainer for the baseball team for 1 year. Lonnie also helped oversee the health-care coverage of the 17 athletic programs offered at the school as well as teaching athletic training courses at the university.

Lonnie specializes in youth athlete development and personal training with high school athletes. His training philosophy is creating pre and post injury management programs for athletic performance enhancement through functional training and core development to improve overall speed, agility, and athleticism.

Lonnie also worked in a Sports Medicine Clinic for 4 years gaining valuable experience in pre/post surgical and non-surgical rehabilitation working with a wide variety of people varying in age.

In Lonnie's spare time, he is involved with many sport-related hobbies including hockey, softball, curling, golf, tennis, volleyball, and working out. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
